A husband-wife relationship is a very special relationship generally formed after completing one phase of life. It goes without saying that this relationship cannot be made time and again, so we need to understand that the role of both(husband-wife) is important. Irresponsible behaviour from either person might lead the relationship to deterioration which is why mutual adjustment is very important.
In a marriage, both(husband-wife) have to make adjustments at their own levels: adjustment with in-laws, situational adjustment, sexual adjustment etc. As long as the mutual understanding between the two is not good, then all other aspects also start to fall out of place. Just like mutual understanding is a basic requirement, so it is itself dependent on various other important things like acceptance, trust,verbal communications and so much more. A husband and a wife should accept each other for all their good traits and help with the bad ones too. When we accept the other person for their unfiltered self, it is then that the trust built up between them is in the purest form. It is only due to faith or trust that both the partners can live peacefully without a doubt or feeling suspicious over any doubt that comes in the way of their relationship. The third important thing is communication. It is equally necessary to understand that any problem can be solved by talking. If we don’t talk then we cannot even express our feelings. When we cannot tell what we are feeling, we cannot expect the other person to understand the unsaid. But all these communications of one's own sentiments should actually be done with some self imagined boundaries so as to avoid the burden to fall on to the partner and that they start looking for an escape. Everyone likes independence, so give your partner a little time and space for themselves. All these little things make you respect each other. Whether it has been 1 year or 50 years of marriage, these small things are the key to a never ending sweetness in a relationship, not even after a fight.
